Back Up Photos From a Digital Camera

A digital camera is a fantastic tool for capturing the images of the important people, places, and events in life. The cost involved in shooting pictures is very reasonable due to the lack of film, the ability to delete unwanted images, and the opportunity to share and enjoy images without printing when desired. The creativity allowed by editing images from a digital camera is also a boon to home photographers. However, there are some harsh realities that need to be considered by those who create and store these digital images. Read the rest of this entry »

Blogs are changing the way we interact with others. Blogs are changing the traditional way newspapers, TV and film is presented. Blogs can expose inaccurate reporting, or omissions made by mainstream media sources, along with communicating events as they are happening. Blogs influence what people buy and what people watch on network and cable TV. Blogs allow people to do their own research and fact finding. A blog can provide commentary on a subject, or it can be personal entries. A blog can include text, images, videos and other links to other websites. Blogs are part of a blogosphere, which is a social network that connects communities and ideas around the world. Photo Blogs: Documenting Your Visual Life

Author: Ben Nystrom

Humans have been keeping records of their personal experiences for thousands of years. The earliest humans painted their diaries on cave walls, as seen in the cave paintings of Lascaux, France. With the development of paper and bound books, people began keeping written diaries, mostly for business reference. Samuel Pepys was one of the first writers to take the diary into the personal realm, and many celebrities have since followed his lead by publishing their own diaries. With the advent of the digital age, diaries went online. Now, thanks to easy blogging services, anyone can share their daily thoughts with their friends and family, or with the whole world.

Photoblogging is the latest incarnation of the online journal or diary, and is quickly gaining popularity. Photoblogs (photolog or phlog,as they are also known) are sites sharing photographs with friends and family in a simple blog format. Photo blogging gained popularity in the early 2000s as it became easier and easier to get high quality digital pictures on phones, computers, and cameras. As picture storage capacities increased, more people started looking for ways to share their photos. The future of journaling may lie in this easy-to-use, quick, visually appealing medium. Here are a few reasons why many people enjoy keeping photoblogs.

1. Photoblogs are easy to share. Photoblogs allow journalers to share their photos with large groups of people without having to send out individual physical copies or large, bulky e-mails.

2. Photoblogs don’t clog up email inboxes. By keeping a photoblog, you avoid jamming someone’s inbox with pictures they aren’t really interested in seeing. Instead, visitors may receive updates via RSS feeds, or may simply visit your photoblog when they prefer.

3. Photoblogs may be shared with anyone. When you keep a photoblog, people from all over the world can easily and quickly understand your viewpoint, regardless of whether they speak your language. Photography is an international language. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m going to let go of some secrets here. This article relates mainly to photoblogs – I’m sure some of you know some of these secrets but many don’t. My traffic at my photoblog went skyrocketing from 100 to over 500 visitors a day. Here are the main things I did :

1.Photoblogs.org : A lot of traffic comes from there – right now I am number one (the ‘hottest’ photoblog as they have titled it) so I get alot of traffic – but how did I get to number one?I’m sure everyone visits a photoblog – go to one – tell them -’Hello, I bookmarked you on photoblogs.org – can you bookmark me?’ – so you keep getting bookmarks (they all bookmark you back most probably) .Suddenly you get onto the list after about 4 bookmarks over two days.On day one I accumulated so many bookmarks so fast that I rose from number 56 to number 11 and the next day into number 10 and today number 1.Also, tag your blog when you bookmark yourself – include a lot of any relevant tags – because people search for tags and I do get photoblogs.org traffic from people searching for tags. Lomography is All About Casual Yet Fun Photos
Author: Paula James

Capture those fun moments. And you do not need to have a very expensive camera to do that. Plus, you also do not need to be a professional photographer to take that really fun and casual shot. All you need is a lomography camera which is also known as a lomo.

Not all people like the idea of lomography. After all, it is about taking what most would call amateur images. See, lomography is just about taking shots and making sure that the shots are as casual as they already are. In fact, you would need a camera that is inexpensive compared to the high-end digital cameras that most of the world is in love with today.

Three of the most popular lomography camera brands are LC-A, Diana, and Holga and all of these are available over at Gadget Epoint. Camera models made by these brands are not that expensive and you can easily use them without having to go through the owner’s manual.

One of the lomography cameras that is manufactured by Diana is the Diana F+. This has been one of the popular models in the world of lomography and its popularity dates back to the 1960s. What is interesting about this camera is that it is made to be handy and light unlike the bulky SLRs.
